The published rule is rarity, not a secret answer key. The experience description uses one example: naming an animal is easy, and the useful answer is one nobody else would think of. There is no public list of "the" rarest animal, country, or movie, because rarity is compared with the people who answered that prompt.
A method you can use every prompt
This is a way to apply the published rule. It is not an official score table, and it does not assign point values.
- Read the whole prompt, including every limit. "An animal" and "an animal that can fly" are different asks. An answer that misses a limit is not a rare answer to that prompt.
- Think of several real things that meet every limit. Stay inside the category the prompt names.
- Drop the first famous example. In the developer's own animal example, the obvious animal is the one to leave behind.
- Submit one of the remaining answers that is still a real member of the category, before the timer ends. The timer length is not published.
If several friends type the same clever answer in the same server, that answer is no longer one nobody else thought of. The rule is about the answers submitted, not about how obscure the word looks on its own.
What not to import from other games
| Other game's habit | Why it does not transfer |
|---|---|
| Shortest possible spelling | This experience scores rarity, not letter count. |
| Longest possible phrase | Length is not the published scoring rule. |
| A fixed "best answer" list | The same word can be common in a full 24-player server and uncommon in a small one. |
| Codes and tiles from those games | Those rewards belong to other places. |
How to tell a useful rare answer from a guess
Use the result the game shows you, not a list made for a different title. The badges only confirm three depth outcomes in public text: you joined (Welcome!), you finished a first dive (First Dive), or an answer was rare enough to reach the Kraken, the deepest tier (Kraken!). They do not publish the score cutoffs between those outcomes.
If a prompt is narrower than the animal example, satisfy the narrow wording first. A rare answer to a different question does not help the question on screen.
After the round
Keep one note of the answer you submitted and whether it moved you to a dive. When the experience description says a shutdown was an update, old assumptions about which answers feel rare can change, because more players may have learned the same idea. The listing does not publish an answer database size, so do not plan around a specific number of accepted answers.
